What Happens Next?
I am a Canadian Citizen and my husband (American) is filing for me. My applicant was sent on August 22 2023, and since then I found out a few things:
1) RFE Completed in January 2024, but I haven’t received anymore information regarding the evidence I submitted for my I-130 & I-485
2) Interview was waived
3) Case was sent to FO in Louisville on April 11th 2024
4) Reached out to Congressman in Kentucky 3 weeks ago and they are filing an inquiry on my behalf (response should be in a few weeks)
As of right now, my timeline on the USCIS website went from 1 week to 3 months late in April 2024.
I have been told by several people to ignore that timeline, but every time I see it, I feel even more discouraged.
I know there are thousands of cases out there, but I’d like to know if anyone has or had a similar case to mine.
Please give me strength and peace about this situation. Thank you!

also Canadian but filed in May 2023. the progress means nothing. I’m on my 3rd countdown from 6 months. lots of people get approved with 5 months left on it so it is really a giant joke to keep us occupied
the fact that your case is at a field office means you’re close. mine has been at NBC for over a year now. give it a bit of time… but you’re close

Hey! I think I’ve answered on one of your posts before. I have a very similar situation. My case has been stuck on RFE response since January too, but mine wasn’t moved anywhere and my congressmen office said they can only make an inquiry after 18.5 months post feeling 😳 It’s a unfortunate situation that a lot of people seem to be in. Especially in Natianal Benfit Center. But you are definitely getting some feedback, even if it is minor. Hopefully, they will start looking through RFE responses soon and our cases will have get progress and positive decisions!

@Nattlestar K what kind of documents they will ask from you for your I-130 and how long you send them ,

@Singh USA 🇺🇸
I sent them a notarized copy of my Canadian Birth Certificate in January 2024.

@Nattlestar K wow they are taking to long for only birth certificates

And, as a Canadian citizen, I didn’t know we had 3 different versions of Birth Certificates! 🤦♀️
