did you receive your DQ?

it just says on the NVC page that NVC has sent it to the Abu Dhabi for expedited processing. The last thing we submitted to nvc was adding my son as an additional household member for aos because it said in a note that my case didn’t meet the requirement for income and it can be determined at interview that was back in July and it said we could add a co sponsor for faster processing so we did that and it was accepted that we could add him.

to be honest I got DQ on my wife’s case about 4 months ago and still waiting for interview by the way she is also from Iran

what does it mean DQ?

Document qualification. it means the NVC just accepted all the documents and has nothing to do till they set the appointment for my wife

oh I see. the message just says your case is in transit to Abu Dhabi the NVC has provided an appointment date to you.

but as far as I know no appointment has been sent to us

our case is already in Abu Dhabi and the USA embassy has to provide an appointment to the NVC then they gonna send us the email and let us know about the appointment

hi marrie,I am from Iran too.and may case has been expedited by abu dhabi and I got an email like you 20 days ago.but I have not gotten any email yet!what about you? also I sent an email to abu dhabi but no answer yet!

how did you expedite your case? I’m a green card holder am I able to expedite my wife’s case too?

sk- I applied so many times to expedite because of our specific situation and was denied each time but I wrote every reporter I saw covering the news coming from Iran, the president and Vice President and both their spouses, and all my state and local politicians, and every humanitarian human rights group- basically everyone I could think of. Someone printed our wedding photos and posted them all over the walls of my husband’s city and he had to first hide and then flee. we tried to get amnesty in Turkey with no luck and finally my congress person was able to get it expedited. we are currently just waiting in Ankara for word of what to do because he cannot go home and doesn’t have access to his money and I’m running out of money and have 7 kids at home waiting for me to come home so something needs to happen soon. I’m also concerned about the upcoming election swaying the tide of opinion against us and the Muslim ban being reinstated, and although he has no connection to the regime, I’m concerned that the much needed new sanctions are going to slow things down for all Iranian intended immigrants. and I’m pretty sure a green card holder can apply for the same thing as a us citizen are you allowed to vote ? where do you all wait ? how does anyone survive like this ?

feri- no email and they said if you don’t hear in 7 days write us again so I did that yesterday and the congressional office replied that the person assigned to my case is out of the office for 7 days but they will forward my concerns to Abu Dhabi now and let me know if they hear back. where will you go if they don’t approve it ?

I am in iran ,they approved my expedite but they have not sent email for interview date yet

feri, he is from a small city and someone printed out our wedding photos from my Instagram and posted them all over the city. Then some agents came asking questions of his friends. Around 20 of his friends were arrested and we found out that two had turned out to be government informants. We were lucky I guess because in the beginning of September we had plans for me to go to Iran, I had just gotten my Iranian passport. But I was afraid to travel alone there so he was supposed to meet me in Istanbul and we travel together, but he got covid and could not travel so we delayed that trip and then things got crazy and we could not contact each other and I came to Istanbul hoping he would show up, not knowing if he would make it. he actually was not doing anything wrong, I mean no one was doing anything wrong but he actually tried to be careful to not put his family in danger.

his family is not a political family he is lak. but they are a well known family in his city and people kept saying to his mother in random places are you Ehsan’s mother ?

she doesn’t even speak Farsi only laki so it was not her fault at all

now if he goes back we have been warned they will take his passport and he will not be able to leave so we are just here with no access to his money or mine 😂

@feri t @marrie Seifi I have recently read your comments and I has made me scared. I have got DQ on April, my case is in ankara. but the important and disturbing matter is the next election of u.s. so I have two questions. first, did you take your interview, for sure, I hope your answers are yes and second is, could I expedite my case, too. I am iranian and I live in Iran.

@amir khan he had an interview 11/29/22 and it was put in ap for form ds 5355. I emailed a lot and kept getting the same answers, we are sorry but we don’t know how long it will be yada yada yada… then I filed mandamus at the beginning of January and service was confirmed like 2/2/24… status still says the same but on the NVC website it now says reopened and we had to redo the ds 260 so we did that and that was accpeted. I don’t know why it was closed in the first place or what that means and the lawyer who filed the mandamus said that they aren’t allowed to advise me because I only paid for mandamus lawsuit so I don’t know what will happen. But I can honestly say my life is pretty much destroyed. I’m going to start looking for a third country we can move to.
