Hi, I think you will have to submit for a new one and attached a letter explaining that you didn’t have the guidance nor the knowledge of having to renew and that you are ok with applying for a new one and paying the fees for “renewal or new application”. I might be wrong but if I were in your case that is what I have done. You can always ask your lawyer and if you do it your self make sure you send the form and the fees to Vermont center u less you are in a different state.

I do have a pending 485 , always is free to apply . The olny thing which I am confuse is I have to submit only 131 or 131+765 together. However; my 765 was approved on Nov 2023 And have my EAD card . I don’t want to have any contact with my lawyer, even for answer my phone call or email , he acts like I have to pay him .

just send the application for form 131, attach a copy of your expired combo card, a copy of your I485 notice, with a note saying you are apply for I131 renewal and send to Vermont

@F A I have a lawyer and he wants 1000$ for I 765 and I 131 renewel. I thought of doing it by myself but my question 1. do I need to fill up the attorneys info in both forms 2. do I need to give my address or my attorney’s?

My lawyer charged me $800 for both. The thing is, I haven't received the receipt, and it is over a month now.

@dainty dainty make sure that your lawyer sent those forms to USCIS. ask ypur lawyer for the proof. i received receipts after 3 weeks

I would like to confirm with you guys, I need to submits : a new form 131 a copy of I-94 2 pictures a copy of my pending I-485 a copy of expir Advonce pro card what else do I need to send them .

@Siva billa and everyone wanting to renew EAD/AP combo. Here is my take, you don’t need to pay any lawyer for renewal because they are not doing anything. whatever address you put on your renewal forms, that’s where they will send your receipt and the card when it is approved. in my case, a lawyer filed my I360 and I485 with his address but I did my renewal using my address. The only reason why you’ll have to pay a lawyer for renewal is if you are not comfortable using your own address. And again, you don’t need to give your attorney’s details on the renewal. let me know if you have any questions

@hope hope you don’t need 2 pictures(you can add it though if you feel like), write a note and say something in the line of “I am applying for I131 renewal because my card expired or about to expire and and attach with this note is a copy of my I94, copy of my expired card, copy of I485 notice”. Also the subject of your letter should be “Application for Travel document (l-131) renewal”

@F A thank you for the information. where do you send the work permit renewal? and I have a pending vawa case at Vermont. when did you submit your EAD renewal?
