What do you do in this situation?
What do you do if you're about to file for VAWA and then you get an RFE for your marriage I-130 application. RFE requesting for more evidence of bona-fide marriage (nothing specific, just more evidence). I did include a lot of evidence when we applied. Should I just apply for the VAWA and ignore the i-130 RFE ? (VAWA will be long filed before the RFE deadline. ) Should I respond to the RFE and then file the VAWA ? I do have a lawyer BTW, I just wanted to hear other people's opinions about it. Thanks.

I was also in a same situation but what happened was I already filed for vawa and the field officer asked Vermont for the 360 file and looked at it. he after couple of days requesting the rfe for 130. I did submitted that but unfortunately nothing happened. what I recommend is submitted rfe as soon as possible and once submitted start preparing for 360 and if something bad news comes, be ready to file 360.

@king king yes, that's what me and my lawyer will most likely do.
NH OFeb 28, 2024
@Shan Shan sure, that sounds like the safest option.

@bobby garlic Yes, we'll hopefully respond to the rfe and file the vawa. it's the safest option.

@A B I already included all of those and even more when I filed the i-130. Yes I have a lawyer, we'll most likely respond with more evidence and then file the vawa.
