@Tracia 🇦🇴 🇦🇴🇦🇴 Thanks, yes I did. It took around 4 years and I got tired of waiting . I expedited my interview by placing myself on "standby list". By placing yourself on such list, you agree to be called in for the interview with short notice of 48hrs. After placing myself on that list by simply writing a mail to them to do so, I was called within 30 days and case was approved within 2 weeks. Stand by list is not available in every asylum office.

with the GC I don't think you need the travel passport anymore for travel

@LN Asylee @Jatinder Singh By USCIS policy, you are not allowed to use your passport, as well as visiting consulate of your country to renew your passport. while this instances are rare, you can find people who lost asylum status for using it's own passport.

@Alex B yes I included medical with it and i have another question who can file fee waiver i want to apply i730 for my wife does that fee waiver can help to speed up.anyways thanks for replying

,@rammy singh generally you can apply for a fee waiver if you are qualified which is typically a financial hardship. you would have to prove them that you're not able to pay the fee. also if they Grant you a fee waiver typically the case will be processed faster. because your wife would need to accumulate one year of physical presence you would have to carefully calculate the time when you will be filing your application to avoid rejection.

Hi Alex. I noticed your comments on some posts. I filed my I-485 along with RFE (medical) on Jun 30 and July 18 was my biometric appointment date. When should I expect to get the green card approval? (I filed I-485 by myself after one year of asylum grant)

There is a change in RFE notice date. Any idea, Alex? It was Aug 08 and I already responded to them. But the notice date changed to Aug 22.

They requested a completed I-485 application form. They told me that I didn’t complete the form, but I think I did. Anyways, it’s just the I-485 cuz I sent the medical already.
