We had our interview on Feb 10 . Mostly matched answers, but my spouse forgot the sponsor’s name and some filing fees. It’s been almost a month with no update. When should we expect to hear back?
We had our interview on February 10, and it was quite difficult. The officer spoke with me for about an hour and a half and with my spouse for around forty minutes. As soon as we went in, they separated us. Most of the answers we gave matched, from the names of our birds to the names of our family members.
However, my spouse struggled with some questions. She is younger than me; there is a five-year age difference between us. I am 25 and she is 20. The main issue was that she forgot the sponsor’s name because it is not an English name. They also asked how much I paid for the paperwork. They asked whether my spouse knew the fees for the I-130 and I-485. I assumed she knew, but she did not know exactly. Her response was that since I handled the process, she did not know the details because it was my immigration process.
So we had a few small mistakes like this, especially about financial matters, because I am the one covering everything and my spouse is not working. It has been almost a month since the interview and we still have not received anything. When do you think we might hear something? I am very worried.
