You should never send original documents to USCIS because they will not send it back to you, only photocopy. It’s on the website

Uscis and NVC will accept the copy but In interview you have to show the original doc.

That’s why every original document have to leave with your spouse. we only have to get the copy of every document.

@pabitra subedi, if you have copy of your marriage certificate than you can submit that to NVC but you have to figure out for the interview in Kathmandu.

They will accept the copy of your marriage certificate and other documents like police report, citizenship for your spouse. I did it for my sis and they accept it.
