6 months! but we later found out that they don’t really call you for interview in nigeria, you have to hustle for the date Lol, we checked the website twice a day and luckily yesterday there was an open date. @God’s Son @Bee Amri

try to know more about your spouse,birthday,the car he/she drive,what he/she does for a living,how you guys met,where,when,where the proposal took place,any previous marriage,any kids,how many,their age, and your spouse mother's and father's name.

have you done your medical,make sure is ready before the interview and ensure your affidavit of support is upto dare too

oh wow. so my husband is in Nigeria. I’m American. so this means that they don’t give you a date but rather you pick it yourself. are you guys also I-30? thanks for answering in advance 🙏🏿

@Faith only I am not sure about spousal but definitely for K1 we had to hustle for the date. we were in a whatsapp group with other people waiting for k1 and we checked every 5 minutes people takes turn to check so that we don’t miss when the date is open. they usually open the dates random day in a month and only for 5 or 10 minutes

@bkb james I heard you can’t schedule k1 visa date interviews on your own anymore, they will have to call you themselves to schedule it. I suggest giving them a call.

@Z Sman Hi, so my case is at the NVC, how long does it usually take for them to send it over the the country? my fiancé is also from Nigeria. is that when they are able to find you an interview date, then it’s sent over, or it’s sent over and you find the date on your own after the welcome letter? thank you for your time.

@Adella D Usually they send it within a month, once it’s sent over they will Email you and your fiancé, then you wait for them to contact you for interview date.

@Z Sman I’m not sure what’s wrong on with the Lagos embassy, my case is still at the NVC. I pray it moves soon. I hope all is well with you!
