go and Notarized it.
Mr MCCNov 26, 2023
they need to see the original. but you can go and Notarize it before going. if you go with the photocopy they won't accept it . they will put you on AP until u bring the original copy
DioM DNov 26, 2023
they will give you a 221G slip and when you bring the original they will process your visa but sometimes they put your case on AP.
you could avoid all by prepare well your interview.
don’t panic go to the interview and good luck 🤞🏾

May be they will ask you for birth certificate or not nobody knows last week I had interview they only saw my passport that’s all
Mr MCCNov 26, 2023
@Snob demax you forgot to realize that is because you submitted it thats why they didn't ask you for it. birth certificate is a very important document that one ought to go to interview with .

did you already submit a copy of the BC? If you are the petitioner then your BC or passport is required. If you are the beneficiary and already submitted your BC they will not ask for it at the interview.

I went to my interview and they only ask me for my passport and ID. Then he asked my husband for his BC or American passport. I am the beneficiary and he didn’t ask me for my BC.

@kay say, please what questions were you asked at your interview?
Kay SayNov 27, 2023
@holy christy God's own hi. my husband is a US citizen. he petitioned for me. on Oct 17 we went to our interview. Our appointment was at 10am. We were called in at
10:20am. The IO swore us in. after that he told us where to sit. He then give us each a piece of paper with pens. he ask us 10 questions each
1. what size is your bed?
2. who sleep on which side?
3. How many TV do you have?
4. When was the last time you had sex?
5. What did you do last Sunday?
6.where did you go on your last vacation?
7.what's your address?
8. How did you meet?
9.where was your 1st date?
10? What's your spouse middle name
after that he took the paper and compared answer. we only got 1 wrong. after that he ask us if we have kids. we each have a child from previous relationships. At this point IO was just having conversations with us and making jokes. He was extremely nice. He told us that we are approve and that we should see an update in the system soon.
He explained that I will get a conditional green card because we have been married for less than 2 years. All the best in your Interview.

@Kay Say thanks so much for this information 🙏
Jennie .Nov 27, 2023
@Kay Say Passport compulsory for a petitioner? That's not true. Identification & birth certificate. Identification can be state id, driver's license or passport & then birth certificates. Mind U, some spouses do not have passports like mine.
Kay SayNov 27, 2023
@JENNIE . The petitioner must have either their US passport, Birth certificate or their naturalization certificate to prove that they are a U.S. citizen unless of course they are a GC holder. I’m not sure which part you are saying is not true. At my interview IO ask for his passport or birth certificate.
Jennie .Nov 27, 2023
@Kay Say no. For immigration processing, Petitioner's birth certificate is compulsory. But for Identification, International Passport or State Identification or Driver’s License will do.
Shee jaNov 27, 2023
@Kay Say just had my interview, they did not ask for my birth certificate.
but they did not tell me anything. they just told me your interview has been concluded
Kay SayNov 27, 2023
@SJ hopefully you will get approval soon. I was approved on spot but it took 7 days for my online account to change to approve.
