did u inquire
A
Andy GodAug 9, 2022
I have. many times and even involved my congressman. Here is what my congressman said: I have made an inquiry to the Vermont Service Center. The applications for your wife and son are pending background checks. I wish I had better news. They were unable to tell me when the security checks would be complete. I will continue to monitor the progress.

so it’s been stuck at this stage for so long. idk what to do
Emanuel EurnekianAug 9, 2022
where's ur wife from
Reysh WAug 9, 2022
did you try the inquiry or contact uscis?
A
Andy GodAug 9, 2022
Wife is fromNigeria. so I spoke with a USCIS supervisor and he said some countries take forever to respond to background checks of their citizens when they ask them and in that case, there’s nothing they can do. they can travel to Nigeria to go and speed up their background checks for them. that I just have to wait.

Andy GodAug 9, 2022
that was why I said it depends on the country of origin of the beneficiary sometimes in adjucticate some applications. Europeans wouldn’t have this kind of problem I’m having now because they have a solid security background check in place.
Emanuel EurnekianAug 9, 2022
I am.from.lebanon ,been waiting for 15 monthes so far ,no news yet

adjudicating, I mean
A
Andy GodAug 9, 2022
those are high risk areas/ jurisdictions, my country is also one. They tend to spend a lot of time in scrutinizing applications from there. But in the end, they usually approve.
Emanuel EurnekianAug 9, 2022
isn't clean police clearance enough?
Emanuel EurnekianAug 9, 2022
or clean criminal.record
Emanuel EurnekianAug 9, 2022
I can send it for them
A
Andy GodAug 9, 2022
well, no one knows specifically what they are looking for. If you sent it to them, they might see that as a red flag… they might think you obtained it thru the back door and not thru the right channel. So I’ll suggest you just hold off and wait. Thafs what I’m doing right now. I know where my case is but when it comes to security thing, you don’t interfere or want to push. It’s their beans now
