@olla E you can't marry her and not cancel vawa...it's one and the same. Once you get married your vawa is no more! Uscis will expect your spouse to file for you. I'm not sure why your gf would be pressuring you into marriage. She should understand your situation. You should not marry someone because they are annoying you and you want it to stop or because you want them to feel better. She will just keep making you do things so don't even open that door. That's not the foundation you want to set. Propose to her if you want, and tell her you'll get married as soon as you can but she'll have to wait a few more months. Any reasonable person should understand that. I hope she does.

thanks everyone. well 1 of the major reason of her I sistong of getting g married if for health issues. I have some health issues that needs to be attended to urgently and the Medicaid from vawa doesn't cover it. the only Insurance that can cover is the one from her job. so I am just in the middle worried about my health and also about my immigration status.

and for me to receive benefits on the insurance I must be married. so just putting this out for suggestions

@olla E you should check deeper first in her insurance cause she can still add you in most of them without being married. there’s ways for that. With your PF and your insurance it’s supposed to cover emergencies you can also check on that with a lawyer. Please don’t get marry. you are almost there! try looking for other ways too. I have also my bf and we are waiting and I had also health problem and I asked my lawyer and also did some research. I end up going to emergency and got covered
