In summary this is what you need to submit Evidence you and your alleged abuser were/are married or that you are the child/stepchild of the alleged abuser. Evidence your alleged abuser has or had Lawful Permanent Resident status or US citizenship. Evidence you are eligible for this classification. Evidence you and your alleged abuser resided together. Evidence you and/or your child(ren) suffered battery or extreme cruelty perpetrated by the alleged abuser. Evidence you are a person of good, moral character (generally, the Service requests police clearances from each locality in which you have lived for at least 6 months during the past three years).* Evidence you married the alleged abuser in good faith. on the part where it says « Evidence you are eligible for this classification » you can use 2-3 witnesses statements supporting your abuse story (either they witnessed it or you told them about it while it was happening) or/and any police report of the abuse or/and hospital record, pictures that shows abuse.
