VAWA Is Stressful!
I’m now 2 years one month since I filed my VAWA on February 19, 2020. I did file concurrently and biometrics done 4 prima facie notices received , but no approval yet, I’m completely upset!
I later filed for EAD category c9 on April 21, 2021 since the c31 category was taking forever and waiting for the VAWA to be approved first. I got receipt notice for the EAD c9 and since then, I’m almost 11 months no updates. What’s USCIS’s intention for doing this, what’s USCIS up to?😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏 I did two expedited request through my representative and senator office, it got denied on grounds that my case was pending being assigned to an officer for processing. This is not the America 🇺🇸 I expected! 😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏

@one only, I wrote issues about my jobless life and worst living condition. I don’t have ssn so all of the criteria in the qualifying list I can’t provide any

@shauna, I applied for 485, 360, 765 together. when I learn that c31 gets approved only when VAWA is approved, I then applied for c9 category in April of last year and I’m still waiting since I got the receipt notice

oh when you apply first you tick the box for c31 ok now I get it but 11 months waiting on i765 😭 that’s crazy and it’s your first EAD

@victory victory don’t lose hope, it will come when you least expect it. I know how frustrating it can be for not having a SSN and EAD at least the others can take it’s own time.

yrstory, do a case Enquiry outside normal processing time, that's was what I did filed my Vawa in November 2019, filed ead renewal in March 2021, got Rfe for vawa in November 2021(exactly 2yrs after filing) responded to the RFE Feb 2022, did e-verify for the EAD extension(case outside normal processing time) on 1st march 2022, got a positive response on 9th of March, received physical card on 16th of march
