VAWA Expedite
Hello,
Did anybody here try to expedite your I-360 because you want to join the military before? I have hold I-485 since Feb 21 and filed I-360 in Feb 22 but nothing happens yet and I am so tired of waiting. Please share your ideas. I’m in Houston, TX. Thanks a lot!

joining military is can not be a expedite reason unfortunately as far as i know
im January 2021 same still waiting have you been gettin prima facie? do u have lawyer?

@tired from waitingg is right. Someone tried doing that and the military said that he can join when he gets his GC but joining military is not the reason for expedite

@Rachel N it’s possible for expedite if you want to join the military but you will need them to write a letter of undertaking of the intent and interest that the military needs you. so you will need your recruiter to write a letter, sign and stamped on a lettered headed paper. then you get it and write a cover page and attach your I360 receipt and the letter you got and send it to USCIS. that’s the only way they will accept your expedite and speed your case up. I hope this info helps.

@bolaji imran thanks. You understand what I really mean. There are not many recruiters know how our process works unless you’re a very important to them to recruit you in immediately. But I still hope that reason is a good one to expedite with USCIS

@Rachel N trust me it’s a good reason if you can get them to write a letter of intent to have you Join the military. I have seen it done and I know it exist. so it’s only if you can a recruiter or a recruiting station that will be willing to do that for you. let me know how it goes.
