@Q U so I have question did you enter the US legally ? there is few steps before you have to make sure , so you can see if you are eligible to file the I-485 and the I-765 together. because u can’t file it now since ur Vawa is still pending. you need to have a valid visa. at some points, email me, I might help u through my lawyer. @Q U if your spouse is a resident you cannot file for work authorization yet as your work authorization must have a basis to stand on which is your I-485 adjustment for status. And you cannot file your I-485 until your Vawa is approved since your spouse is a resident. I would advice you to get a legal counsel to know how you can proceed. Spending $150 on a lawyer of your choice would not hurt you in getting the right information you need as based on your case. It’s more better than flying blind and filing cases that may have a high chance of being denied.

@Mark Douglas I use the Divorce Center, they send you the package with everything and then you have to do it yourself. they send you all the steps it’s easy you just have to follow the steps. I would recommend it 100%. I live in NJ I don’t know if they are nationwide
