it takes 2 years for a vawa to be approved

mine is 1 year and 11 months still no response

give it until early next year

well I'm not sure lol because I applied for two ead both the c9 and c31. but the c9 came before my case was approved. and I never knew I had a c31 till I ask my lawyer to renew my c9 lol 🤣

so my guess it came 2 months after my case got approved

oh my yea that should've came already. because even my c9 came within 3-4 months after applied back then. but now idk I applied for renewal in June and still no ead for me either. I Know they should take a max of 6 months

and yes I did my interview in April and haven't heard anything from them

USCIS will not interview you about your VAWA self-petition and there is no court date so you will not have to testify about the abuse. USCIS will decide whether to grant your self-petition based on the written evidence that you submit

@Al-Anthony Bailey, did they ask you a lot of questions and what type of questions did they ask in your interview?

@SP They only asked me the questions on the 1485 application forms, questions like are you a human trafficker, do you plan to overthrow the us government, do you have kids? if so how many, also asked to show birth certificate, passport and previous visa etc. The questions starts from number 14 on the form. so review those questions and you'll be fine, make sure your answers stays the same as when you applied. if you say no to a question that you said yes. They'll ask why and that you said yes on the form.

so mostly biographical questions

that's weird too. happens to me except they didn't send anything to my old address they sent them to my lawyer like normal. but they never had my correct address in their system lol

zee zee you received your renewal receipt for 765 at least? when you got it after you applied? how much it takes to get receipts?

yes I have my receipt I got it 7 months ago right after I applied for it .. no I did not change my address cz everything goes straight to the lowyer office ..

@krish message me in vjf hustlingstill it's better to search with the entire receipt number or else I'm not sure what kind of other two numbers to put in the end, if you can tell me random it has limitations of search as well. I usually do 500 with my receipt number

@c c I saw one number before your case and it says rfe was received nobody was approved. do you have a lawyer ?? I see that you requested for expedite. I don't think with vawa you can expedite

@krish I don't know what the case will be after this status. this is my first time seeing anyone expedited for vawa and got denied. i don't think they accept the expedite for vawa.

@krish you can inquire noting wrong with it. you're case is out of processing time. but there's no such thing is expediting under vawa. you have the right to inquire I'm sure you did and it is stuck at pending background check

@C C. your receipt number shows the expedite request denied. your lawyer has requested c31 ead which is only issued after approval maybe that's why they denied it but you need to request for c09 renewal since it's expired. if it's c31 then it will not be approved until they adjudicate. your time is almost here !! give it until Jan maybe they approve your case soon.

I have answered if you read it before that nobody is approved in 2020 yet I have checked and i don't see any approval before your case and your attorney expedited c31

@diana I'd go through congress you'll get it soon, than expediting if one congress doesn't work try another
