I get told that if you don’t have i485 pending you cannot apply for Work permit even if you have i360 pending you should have i485 pending before be able to apply for work permit

@pray, that is correct. if you file i485, you can file EAD i765 under c9 category
without i485 you won’t get EAD until your i360 is approved

@pray Thank you so much. i already had a pending I-485 before I filed for my vawa. Also, yes. you need do file a I-485 before you can apply for work permit.

@tanzy and @Funmi Ashafa. I filed on February 25 2020. however USCIS sent update on May 28 2020 saying “Correspondence was revived and USCIS is reviewing it.
no update after that until May 11 2022 saying case was approved

I have a I-485 withdrawal from my wife now applying for vawa , what happens with my ead that I received through the marriage base c1/r1 . and I’ll be able to continue with the ead that I got or I’ll have to apply everything again.
