not sure but I believe you have to write the category in and I suggest C9 so you can work while you wait on your vawa to be approved

c09 only if u have pending I-485

If you filled i360 correctly, it’s on Part 10, item 12. It just asks if you want work authorization, nevertheless, that’s the c31 you’ll get only upon approval. On the I 485, select C09 (NOT C31) otherwise you will not receive EAD until your Vawa is approved which is like +\- 2 years.
