hi all,
I filled for vAwa in September 2022. just the 1360. which I am still waiting. got three p/f. but I just recently filed for 1485 in July. does anyone knows how long it will take to get Ead and AP. will appreciate your kind response. Thank you.

depends on the category of EAD you filed.. since you filed for only VAWA which i guess you applied under the C31 VAWA category of EAD, you will have to wait 36-40months before you get work permit.. Until your vawa is approved before you can get work permit under C31.. so i advise you apply for work permit under C09 which is adjustment of status, that takes about 60-90days.

did you file ead c31/ c09? there’s a difference. the c31 you’ll get when your vawa i1360 is approved and the c09 usually approves around 3-6 months.

@haada haada I just realize that when I file my adjustment of statues in July the permit was under the C09 category. Thank you for your explanation. but is the card a combo card or just the permit ? thanks for your explanation appreciate.

it may/may not be a combo card.. Mine wasn’t combo, it came at different times
