hi everyone. my lawyer submitted my vawa application 9 days ago. we just received a notice letter that it’s been reviewed at Nebraska center. I know i have a long way to go but can i please know the process, what to look out for and also how many years it will take to get everything done. we filed i1485 together with vawa as well.
all suggestions are welcomed.

Hi,
Vawa is now 40 months.
It varys- the wait can be very painful, im waiting since 2020 for an approval. After Vawa approval i485 can take from 3 months to 2 years.
You can apply for an advance parole, and work permit.
Some do recieve a letter thats called a Prima Facia Determination letter -this just means you met the requirements. Also allows you to get public benefits.
If you do get any RFE, just try to respond very timily. Keep track of all your documents and hold them close to you, if you have an attorney make copies of everything that was submitted.
This process can be very lengthy but stay strong and just pray. 🙏 @God’s favorite Daughter

@m&m s what kind of proof and documents do we need for vawa , married more then 2 years can file vawa if case is pending and a lot problems at home?
