VAWA
Hello guys, please I filed Vawa since Dec 2020 and
till date my case is still pending. My EAD card got renewed twice and they've been sending me Prima Facie letters. I tried writing them recently but no response. Please does anyone have an idea of what can be done?

I actually consulted my Congresswoman and they reached out to USCIS. The response was Please advise your constituent that even though the petition is still under the review process and could be denied, your constituent has demonstrated a substantial likelihood of being a victim of abuse. USCIS has determined through the initial review process that your constituent met the minimum requirements for approval of the I-360 petition. Thus, USCIS granted an extension of Prima Facie Determination (PFD) with a notice sent on July 8, 2025. The PFD is valid for a period of 180 days from the notice date. Note: This PFD notice is meant to be used by your constituent in applying for any State public benefits (SNAP, Medical, etc). No further action is required by your constituent. However, should the processing officer require information for a case decision, your constituent will be contacted accordingly

@Deen Olad its one excuse after another. i dont know why its hard for them to follow the processing time they publish. I’d advice you file a mandamus, your case is over 5 years which is ridiculous

I think they are just sending congressmen generic messages and they are not pushing for anyone. They just rely on those messages. In my case, the first time they contacted uscis on my behalf, they told them to give them 60days, after the 60days, they said my case is undergoing background check that they should give them 6months. 6months has passed now, they told them my case is at the local office and due to backlog, they should give them another 6months. I’m just tired

@F A Oh wow!!!! That’s the answer they gave my congressman 2 weeks ago. They said a decision should be made in the next 60 days

@Missy May congressmen are not pushing for anyone, they just go by what uscis tells them
