you won’t get work permit until VAWA is approved

if you are married to a U.S. citizen you should have filed I-485 and then file I-765 category 9 work permit so that in few months you should have received your work permit. Don’t know what’s your situation.

C31 takes long to come out . If VAWA takes 3 years thats when work permit C31 will be approved. You can reapply C09 if you have a pending i485

The meaning of C31 EAD is that the card arrives once your VAWA(I-360) approves. Your attorney should have filed C09 EAD with I-131

Same date Mai/13/24 but my I-360 was approved I found my social security and my working permit and travel documents valid for 5 years together since January… be patient you are on the way…

same thing happened with me, I refiled under c9 and got it in 120 days

@bugu5420 Robinson How can we know whether the EAD class updated from c31 to C09 in USCIS if we refile under C09? do they send any further notice or any other options? does it delay the Travel document process?

no it doesn’t affect the advance parole because they get processed separately unless you put C09p on the application. if your attorneys filed under c31, just file a c09. you get it. all you need to do this check the application you had submitted before to see what category it was filed under.
