vawa pending
I have a pending appeal Asylum case in Immigration court and I am preparing documents for VAWA application based on abusive marriage. My work permit (category c9) that I have is soon to expire, my question is while I am preparing and gathering all the documents for VAWA petition, can I file for my EAD renewal (category C8) based on the pending Asylum case? Once I have filed for the Work permit would it be okay to file for I-360 if no decision is made during this time and I have a emergency my father passed away 😢 what should I do can i travel to my home country

Get your Renewal EAD from your Asylum case pending just because he will be more Quickly than under Vawa...its true you always get your fingerprint from your Asylum case pending... Right? So under vawa you gonna have other appointment for fingerprint...i guest

@ Peterson Thamas you can not travel outside of states when you are in removal proceeding or asylum.

you can not get EAD on pending asylum appeal cases. once a judge denied your asylum case, you are already in removal proceedings and your clock ⏰ stops automatically. they now consider you as overstay. but you can only stay strong and fight 💪
