USCIS Reduces Official Estimated Processing Time For I-601A Cases for First Time in Years!
For the past several months, the USCIS website has listed processing time for I-601A applications as 44 months. This is the amount of time they estimate it takes to complete 80% of cases. Today I noticed they reduced that to 43.5 months. Yes, it's only a reduction of a few weeks and yes, it's still taking WAY too long for them to process I-601A applications, especially when compared to just 5 years ago when it took less than 9 months, and 4 years ago when it still took less than a year - but it IS progress. And as we've been seeing in other posts on the Lawfully website, it seems they're working through the backlog of older cases faster and faster all the time.
There's hope!
