update I-485
so i figured out before the rfe arrives, that the request is for the medical exam info.
did you guys still see a civil surgeon in the US although you previously did a medical exam abroad (Canada) for the K1 visa? I am booked to see one now, but only to confirm vaccination records and have them sign the form

can I ask how long you are waiting that they are making you redo a medical?

I got this notification within 30 days of submitting the I-485 application. the I-693 indicates that if you have already done a medical abroad for the visa, that you do not have to redo the full medical if it is within one year. you do still have to submit the i-693 paperwork and have it signed by a civil surgeon.
since I am within one year of my original medical, I will be seeing a civil surgeon and providing them with my records so they can fill out their portion of the form. with that I, I should be fulfilling the requirement. it is said to also provide a cover letter describing what you’ve done and why when responding to rfe.
