UPDATE GUYS!
Hello!
So I got a notification from Lawfully that there was an update on my I-485 case. I logged into my USCIS account & found that there was a case status update for today: “Request For Initial Evidence Was Sent”
there is nothing yet under my documents tab & I keep refreshing to see if it will update.
Does anyone know what this means? I have sent my medical package yet could this be it?? & if anyone with experience knows about how look I can expect to see the notification under my documents tab or receipt in the mail??

the notice can show up in a couple of days under the doc tab. it could be your medical exams or issues with I-864

no sadly a request for Initial evidence means you forgot an important document required to process the application. I had this as well. they needed a long form of my birth certificate I sent just the normal one you get when you order a birth certificate lol. when it’s for the medical it will be a Request for evidence. anything that specifies Initial is in regards to missing information that you were suppose to submit with the application. don’t worry. you’ll get a letter in the mail explaining it all to you with a time limit on when you have to submit it. be mindful your application is on hold until they receive it so try to get it to them as fast as possible. and don’t send it late or they will deny your case. when sending it use online or mail but make sure it has tracking so they can’t say they “never got it”

@n a they want your medical and/or more evidence for your i864, they basically stop working on your case, until you send them what they want they'll approve your work permit or the greencard altogether.
