I agree … and people who applied way after me getting approved makes me angry

It might not be fair but if you think about it. k1 people donot get greencard that means they have to come to the US and wait for months to year to get a greencard and more money. As for cr1 ir1 they get greencard from the moment they get visa approved. and k1 people cannot even work until they get their employment authorization approved. that’s another reason they tend to process k1 visa faster.

@Roshni Basnet Costs a little more application wise, but they're here in the States and working faster than a consulate spouse, especially in countries where embassy wait times exceed 6 months. Spouses are supposed to have priority, and it certainly doesn't seem like they do. Meanwhile, we're separated from our spouses for at least 1.5 years and spending more money on flights than we would have adjusting status and removing conditions. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I agree 👍 💯 am here waiting for almost 3 years to get approval for the greencard then when you call than they find excuses to give oh some cases are different I would really like to know the difference I paid for mine they do the same I send in all the documents that they require so I don't see why people who just put in paperwork is getting greencard and my husband is a US citizen

I totally understand your frustration. it’s unfair when people who started this process after us got their approval already 🫠

yeah I understand that k1 visa doesn’t have a greencard and for me that’s the last thing I think, I want to be with my husband as soon as I can and USA are making families wait and letting fiancé get into United States, I understand that is really hard for both but I’m a wife, has a hierarchy that they don’t care.

k-1 has always been faster before covid.
