@yamahar6 mohd Great! How did you go about applying for the Visa? Did you have to put some amount in the account for 28 days before applying for the visiting visa?

well yeah I have shown them about 6k usd

I had $3,500 in d acc while printing statement, but spent part of it before the visa was issued. experience at CBP wasn’t stressful

i am aplying now for UK visa, i have my brother and sister there , i am going to visit them in December after 14 years apart. on the visa application they are asking if i have relatives there … i also have 2 cousins , uncle and my aunt. I am not in touch with all off them so can i just put one cousin in the application? also i want to surprise them and can’t ask my brother to give me passport details. will that be a problem? please advise. thank you

@Tee B it is a requirement to have the money in the account for 28 days ? lets say i just got my paycheck and in 2 days i am sending the application with all the documents. will that be a problem? i have not seen anywhere to say something about this rule.

when I did, I had 2k in my account. so it’s not bout the amount but rather the activities in ur account. I have since gotten 4 different countries including Canada. submit normal things that u would submit for a visa and when asked if you have residence here, add ur Combo card and yes you are. all these was wat I did then though. ow I have my 10years green card, the only visa that took a while was Canada and I used it once which is now kinda useless with the 5years given.

While applying did you submit your tax return or pay stub?

@Lana Kitanu I have my own bro and sis and cousins and they are British citizens. but I didn’t mentioned that I have a sibling in uk. I only mentioned that I’m going on tourism purpos only.

@A T I meant the first time you applied for the UK visa, were you given the 10 years visa ? and the $1300, was it the balance in your account when you applied for the 10 years visa that you submitted for the application?

@Tee B The COST of 10 year multiple entry visa was $1300.00. I applied only one time. Balance in your account doesn’t matter. One of my employee got a 6 month tourist visa and he had less then $2000.00 in his account. UK 🇬🇧 Visa charges are different for 6 months, 2 years, 5 years & 10 years. Visa types Visa application fee (USD) Short-term (up to 6 months, single or multiple entry) -$158 Longer-term (valid for up to 2 years) - $592 Longer-term (valid for up to 5 years) - $1057 Longer-term (valid for up to 10 years) - $1320

Becausw I was thinking that you have to put some amount of money in your account for 28 days before you can apply for the visa.

@Covenant Glory For UK 🇬🇧, it’s 3 weeks but for canada, @me & you should be able to shed more light to that.

@Tee B was good I entered at jfk simple as usual. first officer took me to room and in room second officer ask about trip and he don’t find my 360 in his system I said I applied all together 3 years ago. leter he find it. then he said it’s not that easy to prove abuse to get vawa approved. I said yes I know I have submitted all the docs and let’s see what will happen when results comes. he didn’t answerd anything and he said bye. and gave my stamped passport. that’s it.

when I came last year it was gc line but this time they sent me to visitor side. but when I reach near officer cabin again a women who guide the line took me to gc counter. so it means doesn’t matter visiter or gc.
