Typo error in name
I recently got my EAD. However there was a mistake in my name. I had filled an e-request on USCIS website for correction. Does anyone knows how long this takes to be corrected and am I suppose to return the misspelled was card

Today is the 23rd day the card with error was received by USCIS. No response yet.

I haven't heard from USCIS and it is over a month. My status shows that my card has been received and nothing more.

did you try to expedite based on uscis error? that’s what the agent told me you could do.

of course! call the uscis number, and say “info pass” they will transfer you to a live agent. then tell them you want to expedite your case as it is a uscis error and you need your ead soonest. they will file it for you and might ask for further evidence later by email.

I received a status update on Feb 16 that the name has been corrected. That is 3 weeks back.

my card was received by USCIS 20 days ago and I asked for expedited but I don’t qualify…they send me reply on the email expedite request to allow for 60 days!!! can you give me some advise/ recommendations

No I did not receive such notice. Interestingly, my child EAD with corrected name was delivered two days ago. Still waiting for mine. Both were submitted same time.
