travelling within the US
Hello guys, I just read about travelling within the US while their i-485 is pending. Is this accurate? My husband is in California and I'm in Saipan Northern Mariana Islands, one of the US territories. Is it okay to travel to California and wait there until my i-485 gets approve? We filed concurrently 6 months ago and I received my EAD 2 months ago. Please advise me on this, we've been apart for a year now and if I can travel to him I will do it next year. Thank you in advance.

you need advance parole, if not it's not a good idea

If it’s a US territory then I don’t see the issue. I believe it would be a domestic flight so it should be fine. I thought advance parole is specifically for international flights, not domestic. I’m not a lawyer so of course I can’t be 100% sure. Maybe ask USCIS directly to be sure. Or go on TikTok and ask an immigration lawyer. Many of them go live and answer questions as well as comments and DMs.

i'm going to fly within the US only not in a foreign country. I already talk to someone and they said yes I can. i just have to make sure that I will not have stops or connecting flight to foreign countries.
