I mean if you think about it, they could potentially deny for misrepresentation when they adjudicate your green card. you told the government that you were afraid to go back to your country at some point, and now that you asylum case is dismissed you want to go back, that could raise some red flags.

@Christian p sometimes I wonder why some of you like to be the cause of your own problems. you filed asylum saying you’re in danger going back to your home country. Now, you’ve filed a new application and canceled the asylum case. You have AP and all of a sudden you’re no longer in danger of traveling to the same country you initially claimed to be scared of returning to. All the best!!

@Romeo riv @Sam Cole Exactly, can't abuse the system. @Christian p There are no precautions when you know deep down that what you did was not right.

don’t go to your country got to a neighboring country and have your family go see you there. No matter what the case may be I’m sure you want to see your family and they want to see you too.

@S S @Sam Cole @Christian p
@Christian p You must go to your home county and let us know how it was.
@S S 2 Indians got deported from LAX for lying to the US GOVT by visiting their home country after they applied for asylum and then closed their cases but this doesn't mean it will happen to @Christian p. He might get lucky.
I am so glad you are visiting your home country. I wish you best of travels.

I have seen a lot of people get their green card revoked and even their citizenship for going back to their country after falling for silo. The best thing you can do is to go to your nearby country, you can go to your home for that side. just make sure that your home country does not stamp your passport . Don’t even bring your passport out in the first place.

@Chris p Many people are right. This is a new government and more scrutiny. if you wanna take a chance of risk then don’t regret later/ Peoppe are not scaring you but logically warning you of the could be consequences. God bless Chris. Amen

I think with this current administration that it is better to go to a third country.

situation in home country’s could change and you can withdraw asylum cases when that happens

@Tom Hank’s Hans it is safe. I have a friend who came back last week. with the same situation. don’t worry it is confirmed. those are two different cases so it’s safe
