Traveling with Advance Parole is safe
This is my second time traveling with my AP. Last time I spent almost 3 weeks. This time I spent 1 month in my home country. Immigration officers were very nice to me, they didn't even ask me anything, they just sealed my passport and let me go. #I-131 #AP #AdvanceParole

Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
@funmilayo I applied for emergency travel document Twice for humanitarian reasons and they accepted both of them. I still don't have my combo card, I hope I get it soon. My advice: do it, Everything's going to be fine.

I believed if you don’t have a criminal records and provided the AP was granted by USCIS and it hasn’t expired please fire back and front. you should be good to go.
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
My port of entry was Miami

Ross Va: the emergency AP I learnt is only good for one time pass, Is this true?
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
Yes, it is true. I needed to travel a 2nd time so I had to request a new emergency AP. thankfully they approved my 2nd emergency AP, so I could travel.

I stayed with no legal status for 6 years, before I applied for adjustment. And i am here debating should i go home to my dying granpa(who raised me).If I would travel with emergency AP-I would travel with my little son,who is sn American citizen.Maybe my husband would join me too,and i am sooo worried if I should go

Riss Va how long does it take to approve ur urgent humniturin parol
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
I called and they scheduled me an interview for the following week and same day of the interview they gave me the AP. The interview was in the morning, the lady told me to come back in the afternoon to receive my AP. Pretty Quick
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
You just have to make sure that when you call they schedule an interview for you, sometimes they missunderstand and tell you to wait for a couple of weeks to analyze the case
l
l sJan 15, 2022
mine is different mine is urgent hunniturian parol I expidate but I haven't seen any response
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
yes, that's what I am telling you sometimes they think you want to expedite your case instead of getting an emergency travel AP. I received 2 paroles for humanitarian reasons, I hope my combo card gets soon
l
l sJan 15, 2022
Ok but mine is coz of war in country
l
l sJan 15, 2022
my mom and dad is citizen of USA i don't know they will give me or not nor it is 110 days and I send expidate doccoments they need 2 months ago but I have approval of 130 also but coz of iam in f3 category I have to wait more than 10 years
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
Mine was different. I'm in USA and I wanted to travel to my home country. Since I don't have my residency card yet, I needed the parole to enter to US after my journey.
the blessedJan 15, 2022
it’s because you never had a unlawful presence here that’s why
the blessedJan 15, 2022
yall need to be careful tho i had a issues with it

@Ana S I overstayed 6 years before applying for AOS, my dad died and I travelled on Emergency AP last month to my home country. I spent 6 days and on my return to the US the cpb officer wasn’t very nice but he had already stamped my paperwork allowing me entry before he called me to his desk. I received AP 30 minutes after the interview.
Denis gJan 15, 2022
Kay Bee: wow. are you back in the US?
k
kay beeJan 15, 2022
Denis g yes I am, even when he was telling me he didn’t have to allow me back in he had already stamped my papers allowing me back in.
🤚🤚🤚 benJan 15, 2022
do you mind to share why did you do expedite? my father has cancer and want to see me and my 2 years old baby. my lawyer said- if he is still alive, you can’t ask for urgent parole. there is any advice? I have all the documents from the doctors .
A
Ana SJan 15, 2022
ben, your lawyer is bullshitting you.I know of people who got emergency AP because someone back home was terminally ill.Yes,they provided all the medical evidence too,but officers honored this request.
A
Ana SJan 15, 2022
ben,my grandpa has cancer,he is in his last days.granpa is like father to me.my lawyer is working on getting me an infopass appointment to get an AP,as I am writing this.
k
kay beeJan 15, 2022
Ben I think you can. A lawyer told me I would never get Emergency AP, if you want to try call USCIS say infopass and speak to a person and ask for an appointment for interview. Make sure you have evidence of his illness, your birth certificate with his name on it, and if you could have a doctor write that he’s terminally ill ( on official letterhead with contact information).
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
@ben I requested my AP because my grandmother was terminally ill, she has cancer and they approved it.
🤚🤚🤚 benJan 15, 2022
wow 🤩
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
@ben I just provided my mom's and my birth certificate to prove she is my grandma and letter from the doctor.
B
Bugra SJan 15, 2022
@salio niang what kinds of issues you have experienced? how long did you overstay without a visa in the USA ?
k
kay beeJan 15, 2022
Ben going home and seeing your loved ones will make you feel better, the AP is valid for 30 days so go ahead and apply make the best of it
🤚🤚🤚 benJan 15, 2022
why 30 days? so if you ask to expedite you get AP for 30 days only?
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
expedite and obtain an emergency AP are 2 different things. You can obtain The emergency AP in 1 or 2 weeks and it is valid for 30 days
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
however, when you expedite your process, they approve your AP faster but it still takes months to get it and it is valid for 1 or 2 years
🤚🤚🤚 benJan 15, 2022
🙏
Lia LiaJan 15, 2022
@ben you can apply to obtain an emergency AP because your father is terminally ill. Fortunately, you'd be traveling to your home country at the end of this month

@Ren Pin have you got to Brazil? I am going to Brazil in 2 weeks with my combo card. if you did how it gone ?

Hi Jessica, my green card arrived in the meantime I was preparing to go with the EAD.. I’m going next month. I previously had DACA and have already used AP before under that program and it was fine. I came through Jfk and went to the secondary inspection room to get my AP stamped. All they asked was how long I was gone for and said welcome home.

good morning, everyone! i did my application of all the documents a year ago and this week was approved my license for travel. It's just a letter with the informations and expiration for a year. I'm very nervous and insecure with the fact that there is a possibility of being barred on the way back to the US. If I for Brazil will be my first time after 6 years living here.

Fernanda TeixeiraOct 12, 2022

ObG “ @FG You don't know how happy I was to read that from you. I honestly don't know what to expect back. i just want to be prepared for a possible interview.. What questions can they ask? If you don't mind sharing, of course. Tks!”

Vawa ApplicantJan 24, 2024
I have three months of overstay. By the time I get my AP, I should have already had over 6 months of overstay. I am a VAWA applicant, so overstay is going to be forgiven. I have also worked unauthorized and used public benefits, which are also forgiven because of VAWA. I entered legally with F-1 and no crimes at all. Will I be fine traveling on AP? I haven't seen my family for four years. I really want to visit them
