traveling with a DUI and green card.
hello everyone - has anyone traveled recently with a DUI on their record? DUI is from 2015 and I became a GC holder last year May 2024. I’ve been told I should have no issues as green card was granted therefore DUI was adjudicated at time of GC approval.

i would not travel just to be safe.

I did travel in March on a closed-loop Cruise to Mexico and had no issues at all, but it is my understanding land and airport CBP checkpoints are stricter. My lawyer says I’ll be fine, but I want to read or talk to someone that has traveled recently.

@Si Fi yes I traveled in March 2025 and October 2025 and just traveled June 2026. I was sent to secondary both in October and June as I was arriving via airport and it was expected because of the DUI. I did just get approved for Global Entry and have a trip planned in May to Europe which I’ll see if it stops the secondary flags or if it continues.
