Traveling to the US while I-130 is Pending
Is it a good idea to travel to the US while you have an I-130 pending? what are the risks? I haven’t seen my wife in awhile because we’re doing consular processing so I’m outside the US.

I already have a B1/B2 tourist visa, I just need to know if traveling is a good idea with a pending I-130?

I traveled twice on ESTA without any issue(I also have a pending I-130). I have a job and a good visitation history - never overstayed. Ideally have proof that you have ties to your home country - apartment lease or mortgage because as beneficiary you already have an intent to immigrate. Also, before I traveled I found more info and stories on visajourney website

I traveled back and forth for a while on an ESTA and it was no problem at all.

Have proof of ties to your home country, work, lease, even upcoming appointments etc. and - that goes without saying - a return ticket.
