do you guys have experienced any issues to travel outside the USA when receiving your travel permit? anyone any experience with it? i am torn to risk it or not - I am afraid that the customs will be like “and today I won’t let you back inside”

where did you go to and for how long?
Kiki TJun 26, 2022
I traveled last summer to Montenegro for three weeks vacation with advance parol and didn’t have any issues.

i Love Montenegro ! yea, I am planning to go see my family again and stuff. but for whatever reasons we are still waiting for decision after we had our interview in March && I’m afraid that this is suspicious for the customs officer -.-
Kiki TJun 26, 2022
In that case it’s better if you consult with the lawyer. I had an interview three days after I came back from my trip - received an interview date the day I was leaving lol. And everything went well. I suggest to submit inquiry on your case.

no I’m an f1 student and got married to my long time boyfriend. well now husband lol - but I am not allowed to do an inquiry yet either - it’s like 30 days short for it … and also when I check processing times over the website out of nowhere I got a complete different processing time period - it’s so annoying

hey Dee GVanE. I just got back today. didn’t reply earlier because I was still away and I don’t know what the POE will look like. it was smooth. they took my passport and the AP, placed it in an orange box with a yellow slip. they told me to follow the orange line to a secondary check room. I was not the only one there. Green card holders and some blue passport holders traveling outside US for the first time as well. i gave it to the officer in the room, he opened it and did some typing, he asked me to sit. while seated he attended to a man green card holder and was asking him about his trip outside, his wife and address, I thought he’s gonna ask me that, but he just called my name, gave me my passport and said I’m free to go. less I forgot the custom agent that placed my passport in the orange box asked me for the backup letter that was sent with my AP and I gave her everything. I think the only issue I encountered with the AP is that I booked a flight going through Germany . airline going to Europe won’t pick u up only if u have a connecting visa. that’s my ordeal for today. I’m in my house right now. planning to go by December

@Dee yes the the approval letter that came with your card. Airline like Lufthansa going through Germany or any airline that will be having stop over in any European countries will require you to get a transit visa, I booked United connection to Lufthansa for my return and they denied me boarding, that was when they told me this so United have to fix me on their direct flight to avoid Europe. I stayed 1 and 2week.

okay good to know ! then I cannot go to see my parents in Germany. but I could go to serbia to see grandma if no stop in Germany
