Congrats 🎉. Yes! I recently traveled in June and September with my extension letter and expired green card with no issues so go look for your kids and your dad.

@Kimoya 🇯🇲 Hi, yes travel. The conditional green card is the same as a ten year as far as your rights as a permanent resident. You can leave for for a few months if you wanted to. What you need to prove as absences get longer are your ties to the US. Your home, job, banking. I have been to see my mother 3 times for 3 weeks and the other two times for 1 month. I have had my greencard for 11 months now and it is conditional. All the conditional means is that you need to apply to have the conditions removed. The condition is the time frame of it and it is not renewable. But your rights are the same. Hope this helps.

I traveled with an extension paper for my green card a few months ago, which is about three months ago, and there was no question asked; it went smoothly, so I guess you’re good. I think you’re good.

@Kimoya 🇯🇲 I think there is so much fear being pumped in the news. You will be fine. There are very limited reasons that you would or someone with a greencard would have trouble coming back. Such as any charges, being away to long and things like that. Have a good trip home and I wish your dad the best.

i traveled twice to India. did not had any problems. hopefully even now it should be fine. but still be prepared for the questions. even citizens are not spared now
