I just left the country for the first time with AP. my airlines isnt familiar with combo card so they checked with CBP to ensure I have the right docs to return which CBP confirmed I did. they made a note on my reservation so there isn’t any issues on letting me on the airline for my reirán flight.

@Aug 25 2022, I understand you have an affirmative case, do you cancellations of removal or perhaps withholding of removal? I’m confused, so people have the AP but honestly, we are all scared of risking it all for overseas travels, and usually those who have tried that say much about whether they are in removal proceedings or something. so I’m just asking in order to be sure bro.

@ال إيمان it’s I-589 withholding of removal. if you don’t have any criminal history or any bad immigration history then you are fine to travel!

@ال إيمان no none of that. the root issue is that the airlines kept saying it’s a work permit, not a travel permit. they aren’t versed in combo card. they spoke to the chief CBP at the airport who confirmed that I’m able to use my combo card to request AP to enter the USA and they granted permission to allow me to enter the airplane on my reitnr flight. The Mexican airlines is just afraid of getting fined by the USA government. All good over here! I have faith in God.

@kofi boat okay, your advance parole does not play the role of the Green Card. So if your current citizenship requires visa to travel Canada and you don’t have a valid US visa, then you can NOT drive to Canada. They will require a Visa from you or Green Card. So you should reconsider your trip and airline booking.

may I ask one more question? this is my last question. Did you ever go on pending asylum status? or did you have a valid non immigration visa up until filling I-485?

@Milan Rot my non immigrant visa was expired long time ago. I always had my pending asylum while I was applying for I-485
