I’ve applied for my visa today, and they send me an email asking for my biometric. So I scheduled for the 10th of next month that’s the earliest they had. I don’t know after you’ve sent your biometric, how long it takes them to respond.

@karoon boundurant I just checked the questions since I’ve saved the questionnaire. One question says: Do you have a permanent residence permit or a green card? The other one says: Do you currently hold a valid non immigrant visa?

@Miss Mandy I travelled over 23 countries in last year and half with my advance parole and passport. upon my re entry I only show them those 2 documents. They always take you to secondary where it takes from 5 minutes to half hour depending on how many people are in front of you. Why would I carry unnecessary documents such as prima facie with me. These documents are IRRELEVANT when it comes to the reentry into the United States 🇺🇸

@Miss M I got an update to submit my passport today to a VFS location. They only have 2 locations here in the USA- New York and Los Angeles. So,, I’ll be mailing it down and have them send back to my address. Hope this helps? so it took 6weeks for me to get a response.

@Miss M You will create an account, then select Submit a passport, select a location(New York or Los Angeles). Make payment and also download the courier label. it’s pretty easy to follow though.

Mine was with the French embassy and I’m getting it back tomorrow and plan on sending it to Canada embassy tomorrow. I’m planning on traveling on the 16 of this month. How long did they take to send you back your passport?

@Miss M good evening. So, I didn’t submit my passport on time. but it take between 3-5 days to get your passport back

@Miss M I did next day delivery with FedEx though. Once VFS receives your passport, they send it to IRCC the next day(within 24-48hrs). then IRCC sends back to you within 3days.

@Miss M the next update will be from IRCC that will show you are approved. hopefully tomorrow or Monday. because I got an update 2days after vfs recived my passport(got delivered at about 2.30pm). it doesn’t take long at all. I believe you are good.

@karoon boundurant You have to apply where you’ll spend the most time otherwise they won’t give you the visa. Let’s say you apply to the French embassy but when you send your cover letter and ticket it shows that you’ll spend most of your time in Portugal, they will deny it.
