does anyone know if your AP & EAD get transferred to another office (Vermont) is it subject to the new office’s processing timeline or will it be processed in line with the original offices timeline. I filed VAWA/AOS concurrently at Nebraska which reflects on USCIs as having the shortest processing time and I received a notice saying transferred for faster processing but I’m unsure how that’s possible when Vermont processing seems to be 6 months minimum

don't want to discourage you,but you just applied recently. Give them some time and don't forget that average processing time is 40 months. Don't look at this app and try not to stress. Good luck

Mrkvica M I’m aware of the 2-4 year wait for VAWA/AOS. however my question is about EAD/AP office timelines and whether it is subject to a new processing time after office transfers. Also a lot of misinformation is spread in the comments. There are many who have Applied in the exact categories above in February to Nebraska and received their EAD in less than 5 months.

Hi! so I submitted my case April 29th, and I just got a message yesterday saying my EAD card is being produced… sept 25th. My lawyer filed for me and it went to Nebraska. All VAWA cases were going to Vermont previously but I think it was getting too busy and they switch the case loads to the Nebraska centre. I am pretty sure we don’t have a say on which centre they go to. If you call you can ask them what centre your case is at by giving your receipt number.

thanks @kim Fernandez, I believe they started this year with the intentions that all VAWAand related forms filed concurrently were to be processed at Nebraska and not transferred out but then they waived all the fees for VAWA in April and prob got overloaded. I’m just hoping it doesn’t go back to the original wait times. so no more combo cards? I’m currently waiting for my biometrics request as I know it has to be the next step before card production.
