@anduy f be patient and try to expedite you 2 ead process I had the tps application and 1 aos application. the same week I sent a expedited request for both ead they approved the tps so now I start working and I am waiting for the aos thing

You are lucky for real Anduy. I totally get it about wanting to start working. Men depi w wè w pa gentan tounen Ayiti a epi TPS tonbe nan bon tan pou ou a, you shouldn’t be worried anymore because things will come into place for you sooner or later. I’m happy for you. My spouse and I also went through AOS employment based which I was the primary applicant. It’s a pretty straight forward process particularly with great possibilities of not going through interview as it was on the previous administration. You will probably get 1 EAD based TPS and 1 based AOS. Be patient while doing all what is in your means to push it such as case inquiries like you are already doing. Oh! one piece of info that you might need to know is if you have the option to use just your TPS EAD once you get it, do it and save the AOS one until the green card is approved. This is just because using the AOS one will cancel the TPS one while you want to always keep a underlying status until the green card is approved. Did you have to go through labor certification? Also if you have any questions regarding EB or TPS that I may be to able answer just based on my experience let me know too. Good luck.

You can have many provisions with USCIS without any issues. I was close to do F2A for my husbae while he was on TPS and EB dependent pending due to some issues with my job contract but thanks God his case got adjudicated in the midst of it all. Once your TPS is approved don’t mind the GC app until it’s approved. As long as they keep renewing the TPS even if you have your EAD based AOS don’t use it, stay on TPS until you have you green card. Once you give it to your employer for your I-9 it will cancel your EAD based TPS, that’s what happenend to my husbae which was scary because if they denied his case he wouldn’t have any status until we figure out about next step. I got my GC last June and I never told my employer, they used my EAD TPS since when I started 3 years ago, I guess their system still shows I’m authorized to work. So no worries, just make sure the lawyers share the info with you, make sure they give you a copy of everything from prevailing wage to labor cert and all USCIS notices. @Anduy: Thank you so much. Yes lawyers are like that, not really want to share info, particularly when they realize you don’t know much about the processes. That’s y I had to read a lot, participate in a lot of forum to learn from other people experience as well. Because I couldn’t trust lawyers blindly. The one who got me through made 2 silly mistakes in my file. He wrote the motion to EOIR saying that I have family based petition approved while I had my EB petition approved 🤦🏾‍♀️. I asked to fix it he said he had already sent it. The good thing is all the supporting documents were right. Then I said I don’t want anything to be sent without me checking anymore. As we were changing venue from Florida to California he had to do another motion, the same mistake was repeated. I was furious. Well, after my case was completely, we retained him again to continue with my husband’s case, that’s when everything started to go bad. We ended up doing all of our stuff alone from November last year until we received last GC over the week end. It’s crazy. I would advise to read and learn about your case’s background so you know what to do and how to talk to them. Husbae is with extensive experience contractual IT, been working here with TPS for the last 11 years in the US. @Pittsburgh: Why did you have to start over? Did you try to get equivalency and transfer the classes? I studied computer science at ESIH. I have a bachelor + a master I from there. I was able to get equivalency here for my bachelor. I’m now going to school for a master using my bachelor from Haiti plus my other studies from here.

@sassy j I never try to get the equivalency because I I wasn’t able to keep the average of 7/10 but I have the basic knowledge to catch everything faster and now I am working with a solar energy company so the practice will help me a lot

@Pittsburgh: Well, that’s too bad, I wish you did, you would have been surprised. A lot of time we think our studies from Haiti won’t do it at all here, but it’s not always true. Since I majored in computer science from home, I had a bunch of math classes that were transferred so I never had to take any maths class here. Well good luck with everything.

@sassy j yes it was a hard journey, you have to pass a admission contest and 200 students was get in from 5000 application then 68 students passed for the next step , you failed the 1th year you get to go back to the contest. after 5 years only 1 student was able to get 7/10 since the 1st year and 30 students was graduated. I didn’t pay nothing for 5 years because it is : pour l stat but it was a big wast of time and energy
