I am currently 12 weeks pregnant and would like my mother to come to the U.S. for my delivery. Is 'visiting a pregnant daughter' a valid reason for her to give the immigration officer during her interview?
has anybody here gone through the same process?

Yes, it is a very valid reason especially if it's your first pregnancy. I've not gone through it but know someone who has.
