Hey there, I have a question. Was your husband a F-1 student when he married you? Or are you married? I’m asking you this because you have the same name as the person from another post on Lawfully. I’m facing the similar situation, marriage to a green card holder. I’m sorry if I’m mistaking you with someone else.
Sandra KJun 28, 2025
Hi Aaron! yes my husband was F-1 student when we married.
Aaron bJun 29, 2025
Hey again. Can you tell me the attorney you worked with on your husband’s case. I have a similiar situation as you are. My girlfriend is a green card holder and I’m a F-1 student, though I had to work. And your husband’s I-485 was approved even though, he had to, you know. On your comment, you said your attorney didn’t apply for waiver and he still got approved, I-485, adjustment of status. It gave me hope. Thank you for your time! Also, you don’t have to, but, if you want to share your husband’s process, just let me know. Thank you for your time!

Hi Aaron! yes his process was surprisingly smooth. I think God did it for him. the attorney didn’t apply for a waiver and because I’m he didn’t have any criminal background, the kind of stuffs that could have made his case more complicated.
He worked while on F-1 status but paid taxes. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
We also have a friend of his who is a us citizen, helped us as a co- sponsor.

I’m literally in the same situation. You guys gave me hope. Do you still have the attorney’s info. I’d like to talk to them. I can share my social if you cannot share the info here.

Another question, did he admit he worked unauthorized while he was a F-1 student on I-485?
Sandra KJul 4, 2025
Hi Aaron! sorry I just saw your message. I can reconnect with the lawyer and let you know. Yes we said the truth on his application. We admitted he worked while on F1. He worked at his school for a while as the F1 stays requires, then found another job out of school. His application was approved without interview and granted 10 years green card.
