@N Q I got congressman/senator help..they contacted USCIS and received confirmation email, otherwise USCIS didn't respond to my multiple inquiries on this issue.

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! 🎊 @x y did you reach out to your Congressman/Senator with just your I-485 case number or did you wait until you had the approval notice and card in hand prior to reaching out so you could add more details for the inquiry? If you don't mind, can you post the email or letter you sent to your representative? I'm planning on doing the same because I'm in a similar boat where my case was just approved but my PD is not current. Thanks ahead of time, hopefully my case will be similar to yours. 🀞

@Thai GC Hopeful thank you. I have submitted request through their websites. First, search for local congressman and senator in your city/state based on ZIP code. Then in their websites, you will see "help with federal agency" section. go there and submit "privacy release form". It may slightly be different though for your city and state. then senator/congressman will contact you within 2-5 days for further details if needed. better to call them after 24 hours to make sure that they received form and if they have questiona

I didn't have approval notice at that time, but later I updated them. Senator didn't request anything except receipt number but congressman ask for receipt and approval notices I140 and I485.

@x y omg me too! I had submitted an expedite for AP to local congressperson and was told my AP was approved. However, USCIS website initially updated not the AP, but my I-485. I was current as of June, but EB3 ROW so retrogressed starting July. I got more approvals including for my 485J today. I tried live chat and they told me they don’t see approval and is still CRP. I was convinced this was a clerical error on USCIS and that it would be rescinded. I’m trying to get them to confirm now so will reach out to congress liaison again to see. Thanks for posting this datapoint, I feel there is hope for my case now!!!

@x y thanks for your advice a couple of weeks back. I reached out to my representative last week. If you don't mind, do you recall how long it took your representative to get back to you with the update from USCIS?
