@Garth Gilbert don't listen to rumours as long as you have EAD and pending case you're not going to deport .

I was thinking the same thing but still had an uneasy feeling

I have a New York State ID card. I applied that once I had filed travel and work permits and of course green card. So for my understanding if I get asked proof of my on going stuff on USCIS I will just show them my ID because they can't give you a ID card whitout a status and actually when I applied the ID they checked everything from their system so that it was all legal. most likely i won't be stopped by ICE but of course cops might pull me over etc and ask for my ID and I think normal cops don't know too much about immigration so that ID card serves me for a proof that I'm here legally so I don't get arrested by some local Sheriff deputy.

I was also wondering about state issued IDs as well

I was looking for information about ead time line and I came across this post , so let me just say as someone who was taken by ice 2015 from my house even tho I had a state id that doesn’t proof anything . the best you can have with you is a copy of your receipt number . there is a lot of miss information going around to scared people but some of is real so I think the best. to be extra prepared

@saul osorio I appreciate the insight. I’ve been carrying around copies of all my documents along with my attorney’s contact information just to be sure
