Think my case got lost but don't know what to do exactly
Hello everyone,
I sent my application for an i-485 (family based)in April 2021 and after responding to the RFE on December 2021. The month after that they sent me a letter on stating that my medical documents were missing (lawyer told me not to bother putting it) and to bring it when an interview was scheduled.
Last year I had my biometrics were done but since then it's been radio silence. I believe that my case has been lost, what should I do?
My field office is located in Baltimore and it's being processed through the NBC for reference.

your case is not lost... you just did your Biometric and it's just a year... Remember, your PD is no longer April but December 2021 because of the RFE you got. Actually your case is moving even fast.

Send your medical in, lot of cases are getting approved without interviews but uscis asks for medical to be sent in.
Mail it and if possible upload on your uscis account. I have read some have even hand delivered it to fo.

all the lawyers we consulted, told us to mail in medicals w the initial application, got approved in less than 55 days…. super lucky but I don’t see the harm of medicals being sent in the initial package, or when they ask for it if they are valid for like 2 years or something like that

Very similar situation. Pd June 2021. No request of evidence and interview ready to be schedule since November 2021. Basically one year and a half of silence.

@Jimmy D Baltimore just updated their processing time, so you’re now outside of normal processing time and can submit a service request

@USCIS No shame No courtesy i recieved an i-693 deficiency notice explicitly stating that I should NOT mail my medical in, and instead bring it with me when my interview is scheduled.

@m m wish I saw this comment 2 years ago, my lawyer said that they could deny the app on the basis that the medical was past due if they managed to tackle it after a few years had past.
Unsurprisingly, I am not willing to use his services in the future.

@adv jj where are you at? depending on where your service center is you should check the case processing times to see if your case is eligible to be looked over

@E A According to their case processing time calculator the earliest I can submit an inquiry is in January next year. better than July, but still.

@BAYANO PARKER considering that my case is now out of average processing times according to USCIS standards, I don't think it is moving fast.

@Jimmy D I know the website says that but honestly I would do a live chat on the website and ask if you can open a service request anyway

@BAYANO PARKER I have a priority date on Dec 16th 2021 , don’t have any update regarding my I-130 . case said “ application received “ . FO is atlanta but the case has been sent to NBC . when the petiotioner can me expedite ? do I need to worry ?

@Jimmy D there is an option to send missing mail so they can look at your case
