The dark arts of prioritisation
It's mind blowing to me that ex-uscis officers etc can't or haven't shared the true way in which cases are processed. is it priority date? Does the date you did fingerprints come into it? are certain caseworkers working certain receipt batches?
I can't make head nor tail of any sort of patterns being glued to the casestatus site

I know. nobody truly knows how the process works out. trust the process and it will work out. it also depends on time taken for individuals security check as well as field office schedule and add to it unknown factors. all the best and congratulations on your I-140 approval.

One can expedite I140 with premium processing. It takes 2-3 weeks for approval if there is no RFE. Generally I485 processing starts after I140 approval. So effectively for I485 you should start counting from the day your I140 was approved. From your timeline it looks like in your case your I485 is effectively has undergone month of processing. That’s what I interpreted from your timeline.

I think you're guessing though @S SS , not fact? I know re: pp I opted against. Some say it's priority date, mine is 5/5/23, some say it's date of filing, nobody seems to know. Id probably feel more content if I knew what you said was fact, maybe is stop refreshing so much.

It’s truly frustrating! I am in EB1 with PD of Dec 2017 and my case is at NBC (no action from past few months). There is nothing we can do besides waiting, and the uncertainty is mind boggling.
