why didnt you adjust status with judge? im under removal too but case is closed for now waiting on I-130 approval still but my attorneys plan is to ask judge to adjust my status

@mon c hope everything go smoothly to you. I am personally think ICE itself didn't take long maybe 6-8 weeks max. it's really up to our lawyer if they really filed for us or not. sometimes they could make it look like very difficult and need extra work and come down to more money. that's why I change my lawyer

mon c When did your lawyer file the motion? Can Ice refuse to join motion and than what do we do? Any thoughts? We files back in NOvember 2022, but my I 130 was not approved, they approved it in February this year, now its silence again, just submitted the approval of I130

@Jimmy St its really depend on the judge. some are just go ahead and sign and terminated but some will just ask for ice to joint the motion. Also after judge dismissal/terminated ice have 30 days to appeal(if they not agree) so the safest way is to have ICE joint the motion.

@mon c I don't know how much you pay your lawyer but I paid him in advance for the whole process. so my new lawyer get in touch with him and asked him to release the case plus to refund me the unearned portion which he agree. so you might need to see if you can mention about that with your lawyer so that might be a little push for them

@mon c I wasted so much time on previous law firm they are big law firm with many offices but together in touch with them is nearly impossible when inhave questions I called I emailed no-one get back at me sometime take 3 weeks just to get them answer something they even threatened me to drop my case if I keep asking (I asked them once a month!) so I set the limit till last December if nothing has change I will fired them. so basically I lost 6 months for nothing I found a new lawyer in a very small firm but I like the fact that I can ask anything I have doubts doesn't matter day or night weekday or weekend he answer almost rightaway and he have proof of his work he screenshot me thing that he has done. so yeah start looking for new lawyer. the one that really care. good luck to you. and keep me update. 👍

@GeeGee L hi, my I-130 was recently approved and my lawyers are about to file a joint motion with the government attorney to reopen my removal order and dismiss case. any idea how long the process could take?

@John Wayne Base from what I see ppl post here UT could be anything from 2 days - 8 months or sometimes ICE didn't joint the motion at all. my case take 5 weeks for ice and 4 weeks for the judge to sign.

@mon c yayy congrats wow that was fast for the judge to sign. the letter from court sent to lawyer only and it arrive to him in 3 days. you can also request the copy from him if you need it.

@mon c interview went fine but they Request for rfe from my spouse he change his name twice and seem like they didn't have the first one. so we submitted the evidence about ago still cricket, the wait with uscis is just unbelievable..well like I always said atlease I am very happy that we got out the court and all the deportation order just on time. and yes we have to provide the bona fide paper works again. same type of paper works from i130 but the most up to date one. how's your situation?

@GeeGee L just finish my Interview and got approve officer said I'll get my card 1 to 2 weeks and he also stamp my book so I can travel
