Hi lawfully family! please help. the application for my son abroad follow to join I-824 has: my name as petitioner and my name also as beneficiary. is that normal?
got the approval notice saying:
“The above application has been approved. We have notified the consulate listed above that the applicant's status has been adjusted to that of a lawful permanent resident.”
the notice doesn’t mention NVC. will it be send to the consulate directly?

after approval of 824, you will get welcome letter from NVC with an immigrant visa case number.

so after my 824 gets approved the NVC will notify the consulate that I’m a permanent resident? or do I need to do more after it

@Matteo Erbi NVC will send a welcome letter including the details of the immigrant visa. then you need to send the documents to NVC and they will notify you when your case is qualified documentarily. then you will be in line for the interview

@Jen Art it’s DOS visa. don’t be confused with that. The PO Box stated DOS visa, either Sterling and Potomac Falls. send either one based on which carrier you are choosing

@Luz M Germosen S. I was able to expedite the I-824 based on humanitarian reasons including family separation. then expedited the NVC through the Senator. keep trying. keep following up. you’re next! 🩵
