thanking God for the relief he granted me
I stopped checking my case status because it was past 2 years and was getting very stressed . last week I moved so 2 days ago I went on the website to change my address and noticed my case was approved and couldn’t change my address via the usual way. I’m just so happy to not have to worry about my documents. I’m not done yet but at least I’m done with this chapter

I submitted my i751 in Sep 2021, I just got a RFE. I hope after this I get my permanent green card. you’re lucky you didn’t get RFE.

@cloclo 92 I asked that same question to my lawyer when I was filing she didn’t really give me an explanation but thinking about it today I’m glad I didn’t.My husband and I got separated right after we filed the papers which is why I was so stressed bc he gets petty sometimes for no reason and I didn’t really know if he would’ve wanted to come to the interview if they had called us. everything happens for a reason I guess. I’ll be eligible to apply for citizenship under the 5year rule this September

@Mea Cs we sent over 100 pictures I’m glad they didn’t either I was so stressed. I hope u get good news soon. waiting on this process is the worst

u can apply for the US citizen (N-400) now. Dont need to wait for i-751 approved. Anw, congras..and prepare for the next step

@Mea Cs yes I can under the five year rule but I think I have to wait till September. I think I read somewhere if I do it under the 3year rule we can’t get a divorce until it’s done. I’m not trying to do that

@Dat Tran I tried they said I was ineligible. my initial date was September 2019. I’ll probably try again in June or July. Thank you
