After you submit your passport it normally takes anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

@safa A at first it says ready when they told me to drop the passport it says refused.

@Ziz Qasem it will not effect your case it’s actually good that u renewed the passport because if you don’t then they will have a reason to send u back during the interview by the way my wife renewed her passport and nothing happened she got her visa Alhumdallah another thing is no one can tell u if something will effect ur case or not because it all depends on the consular some people have nothing wrong or missing in their files and they give them AP so again it’s all about the consular u do everything from ur end all the files and papers and then the consular decides if he approves or not so don’t stress anything if it’s meant to be insha Allah it will 👍

5-6 days before the interview @Ziz Qasem because it takes three days for them to send it. just to be in the safe side

@Ziz Qasem October 26. AP because of DS5535 no reason was giving. passport had 9 months and I renewed last month so I have no future problems

@ad Sam my husband filed for me his wife. if they tell you you are missing taxes or police certificate they put you in administrative processing but they answer quick less than a month sometimes a little over a month. but if they tell you ds5535 it takes a long time. people have been waiting almost a year

I dropped it this week jan 8. I see “case last updated date” every two days, but nothing changes. Did you get the same thing? accessing your case but not changing anything? The wait kills me.

@Ali Ali they updated 3 time, last update was on the 3th of January. same here with the wait

@Ali Ali they don’t send emails you have to check case status online.
